I slept in a tent on a hillside surrounded by oak and manzanita, and loved it. I never saw London's ranch though, so now I have something else to do the next time I go back to visit. I'm currently taking the Bay Friendly Design certification course, and it's really raised my awareness of a few things, including that soil is our most precious resource. We have laws to protect the air and water, but take our soil for granted. Very interesting to find that London was so ahead of his time. What a great post!
