Rebecca Sweet is a garden designer with her company: “Harmony in the Garden”, located in Northern California. Rebecca is a lifelong gardener, passionate about design, plants, and creating beautiful spaces. Rebecca’s personal approach, artistic eye, and creative flair allow her to translate ideas into design. The result? Unique and engaging spaces that delight the senses year-round. Her gardens are featured in many national publications, including magazines such as Sunset, Fine Gardening, and Woman’s Day, as well as featured on the critically acclaimed PBS series Growing a Greener World.
In addition to designing gardens, she is the author of the national best-selling book Refresh Your Garden Design with Color, Texture and Form (2013) and is the co-author of the Garden Up! Smart Vertical Gardening for Small and Large Spaces. Rebecca also shares her secrets to successful garden design in her column “Harmony in the Garden” in Horticulture magazine, as well as contributing articles to many popular garden publications, including Sunset, Fine Gardening, Woman’s Day, Horticulture, etc. In her lighthearted blog, Rebecca shares inside information about garden design, gardening tips, amusing observations and how-to videos for both the novice and experienced gardener.
In addition to designing and writing, Rebecca’s passion is teaching gardeners how to design like professionals. Leading talks and workshops in the nation’s top flower and garden shows, as well as nurseries and garden clubs throughout the country, Rebecca inspires gardeners through a variety of innovative, practical and fun horticultural subjects.
